Zia's brother is about 8 years older than her. his parents had him when they were about 1 year into marriage. he had a very traumatising childhood similar to Zia, but it was rather worse for him as he was much older and had experienced much more than her in the family. despite that, he grew up into a man where he could be independent and be able to provide for the rest of the family members.
ever since he can remember anything, he always felt a sense of threat from his father, always being scared, hiding whenever he came home and trying his best to avoid his father. when he was younger and about 5 or 6 years old, he would get mad at his father who was hurting his mother, he would shout and scream at him, hoping that would stop him, but instead he ended up getting a beating.
when he heard the news of another baby coming home, he was not really excited rather sad and wished a better life for his younger sibling before it came out. he had also always been very close to his mother as is rarely spoke to his father about anything, afraid that something might happen to him or cause something bad to his mother or his younger sister.
he always tried to be close to Zia and they never fought unlike other siblings in other households. he always looked after her as her older brother and never tried to trouble her. he always tried his best to protect her from her bad friends and classmates around her and mostly around their father, he would try his best to hide her behind him, while their father was being violent.
as he grew older into his teenage years he realised that he could now fight with strength and started getting into sports and went to the gym every day, trying to build his body, one day while trying to protect his mother from a fight he severely injured his back and was taken to the hospital... and could never return to sports again.
almost giving up on everything, he soon he decided to work hard and focus on his studies, so he could provide for his family and when he would be working and getting financially independent, he thought that he could make his parents divorce and could take care and support his mother and sister, but he soon heard of the news of his father being admitted to the hospital.
when he found out that was happening, he saw his mother start working and struggling, he decided to become more independent and responsible, he took on part-time jobs and would take care of his sister and pick her up after school, and even make sure that she would do all her work and studied very hard too as he realised that there would not be money left for his tuition and would have to work for a scholarship.
he often felt of not helping that man that he often did not think of as his father, but he knew he had to do this to make himself and his family survive. he went to university with a full scholarship and worked hard to get a good job in the cosmetics field and become very busy as he grew older and started climbing the ladder. and started spending less time with her family and Zia.
