I meant to write this blog before, but it just seemed to skip it by mistake from my list. For our opening sequence, we created a production house with its name being sunshine productions.
the name 'sunshine productions' has a deep meaning to it too. as we create the opening sequence that will help bring more awareness about mental health and other social problems, the name also helps project that. sunshine is usually seen and associated with feelings such as happiness and joy, the togetherness, as a family, there to support each other. while talking about such dark and deep topics such as mental health and social problems such as abuse in a family, we want to be seen as a person or group that will help provide awareness on such topic.
sunshine literally stands for a ray of sunshine in the dark and a ray of hope in the dark, by bringing awareness through media. the name of the production house helps reflect what kind of media texts they create, this being kind of contrasting and yet suiting the genre of our media product, seems to be the perfect name for it. Svea created a logo for the production house that we plan to use in the opening sequence.
