despite listing all the narrative theories in the previous blog post, we would no be using any of the 3 narrative theories as they do not comply with our story and idea.
to keep the suspense going, of our opening sequence we decided that we are going to stick with a linear narrative type, instead of a non-linear, with is unusual for a psychological thriller, we intend to make ours different from the normal stereotype of psychological thrillers. keeping it in chronological order would help create the suspense of her past, and her past wounds that caused her to become who she is today, which can be revealed as the plot continues without looking back at the past.
we also decided to keep it a single-stranded narrative type, as the entire story revolves around Zia and her wounds, and feelings. there would not be any kind of back story or side story that is reflected from other characters, in the opening sequence.
