according to Wikipedia, Gone Girl is a 2014 American psychological thriller film directed by David Fincher and with a screenplay by Gillian Flynn based on her 2012 novel of the same title. The film stars Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike, Neil Patrick Harris, and Tyler Perry. Set in Missouri, the story begins as a mystery that follows the events surrounding Nick Dunne (Affleck), who becomes the prime suspect in the sudden disappearance of his wife Amy (Pike).

this film was distributed by the one of the famous 6, 20th-century fox, and the opening sequence beings with the appearance of their classic logo, seen on movies distributed or produced by 20th-century fox, but in this movie rather than hearing normal trumpet, classic, and way too many times heard the 20th-century jingle that every film nerd can sing in their sleep, was not present and the movie started off with what sounded like dark suspenseful music.

and the music continued in the entire opening sequence and fades off as it ends. the music used is dark, suspenseful and makes you wonder what's coming next. the music continues and the logo of the production company 'Regency' appears and again with no other sound but continuous background music playing.

the distribution and production company logos are followed by a credit in the centre on the black screen reassuring the distributor and the producer of the film. and then comes following the director, A David Flincher Film.

they have used a simple white font in the credits and have boldened the names of the companies and people even in the further credits it can be seen.

"When I think of my wife, I always think of her head.

I picture cracking her lovely skull,

unspooling her brains, trying to get answers.

The primal questions of any marriage.

"what are you thinking?" "How are you feeling?"

"What have we done to each other?"
