Zia is a 16-year-old girl who suffers from anxiety and has a hard time at school. she is shy and hates being around many people. she also does not have many friends, although she does have few but not really ones she can rely on. other students and teachers in school make her very anxious.
according to Zia she would have a good social life and has friends but deep inside her, she knows that she cannot trust them and talk to them about her problems. she also feels scared a lot of the times and can come across as being very timid. she hopes to be more open and extroverted like others around her rather than hiding but, does not have the courage to do so.
With her family, Zia does not share much either. after her father who used to physically abuse her passed away, she found her mother and older brother become very busy with work to able to financially support the family and earn money. she also feels lonely at home.
despite of her name meaning 'light' she is completely quiet the opposite, in her thoughts and is very negative. she prefers wearing dark clothes, layers her clothes despite the scoring heat, she always has a jacket on and feels comfortable when she is completely covered, thus she also feels very uncomfortable in school uniform which is a dress that almost reaches her knees.
she sincerely hopes that one day she can leave this place and create a better life for herself, where she does not feel so lonely and scared even of herself and that things she wants to do, where she can stand up and speak up for herself.
little she does know, that she is actually very pretty and was very loveable and bright as a child, which self she does not remember anymore.
