we have 2 main locations present in our script. one being an apartment which is to be Zia's home where she lives with her mother and older brother and the other being a classroom, being the school where she attends and spends the majority of her day in, attending classes and often being alone during her breaks.
we found a perfect apartment of one of my friend's where we shot in the whole apartment and became the perfect home for Zia and her family, reflecting their social status, way of living and a reason why her mother is so busy and brother works so hard to support the income of the house.
for the apartment, we only plan to shoot in some parts of the apartment the first one being the bathroom according to the script. the bathroom scene includes Zia looking at the scar on her back and the bathroom is a really special space and probably Zia's favourite place where no one can see her and a private zone that nobody can invade. here are some pictures of the bathroom:
the second space introduced in the script is the lobby and the front of her house and her house entrance where she rings the bell multiple times after coming out of the elevator, being somewhat restless but not wanting to show it. here are some pictures of the front of the elevator:
the third space is again in the apartment being the dining area. the dining area introduces the other 2 characters of the opening sequence, Zia's mother and brother. this scene is one of the vital scenes of the whole opening sequence as it shows Zia's relationship with her family members. as also depicts how busy they are even while having a simple meal. here are some of the photos of the dining table, the chairs and the surrounding area:
the next scene is the scene is the one outside the apartment and when she is at school. the school to be represented in our opening sequence is the school we attend and the classrooms we use. we plan to get permission to shoot in the school from our the authority concerning. in this scene, she is in her classroom all alone working on a project and using a paper cutter to cut chart paper, but she accidentally cuts her finger and drops the cutter and looks at her finger bleed... here is a picture of the classroom:
last is the school hallway where we were not able to get pictures due to our forgetfulness, but we would be using the hall right outside this classroom where she is sitting alone on the floor and a mysterious person approaches her.
