most production companies are also distribution companies too. the big six are a great example of these kinds of companies in the industry, they produce and distribute their films and sometimes only distribute few films, produced by other production companies... and that is what we are also looking at. we would create our own production company, that produces the films, but would be distributed by one of the big six.
the one distribution company we decided to go for is 20th-century fox, as they have distributed many psychological thrillers including few popular ones such as gone girl, black swan and stoker. as they distributed these popular successful films, they became our best option over paramount pictures who also have produced and distributed quite a few psychological thriller films.
