diffrences

Writer's picture: Tanya.Tanya.

there were changes and hurdles that we faced in every situation... from losing footage to our 1st attempt at everything we documented. it was fun yet very challenging experience for both of us and overall it taught how to work in a team which is significantly important as if to work in this industry we have to work in a team. we agreed on a few things and disagreed on a few things that help us realise the different perspectives that could affect our opening sequence, sometimes while shooting, sometimes while editing and sometimes while doing the smallest of the tasks. but we also understood each other and accepted both of our point of views.

thus there were a few differences in the original idea and the opening sequence, which was a little significant. there were a few factors that made us change it and the major one was time... the length of our opening sequence had to be two minutes and we could not exceed that especially with the credits and the title. thus there were a few scenes that we had in our mind but did not make it to the final script. few of the ideas being the one where she is in a classroom and has sweat in her hands and is feeling anxious. and another one did not make the cut after we received the feedback from our peers and teacher where Zia was with her friends and having a talk while drinking some soda, and this scene was a cameo seen and was not present in the script as such but we thought it might bring some depth to the story.

there were also a few differences in the way it turned out in terms of editing, making it harder than what we thought it would be, but truthfully we were able to achieve and follow our script well which gives us confidence and pride about our opening sequence.
