the basic codes and conventions of psychological thrillers and pretty simple, and can be very obvious. most of them include many themes such as death and other features that can even be found in a thriller such as, the low level of lighting to create a sort of fear and suspense for the audience to keep them engaged and interested, and the darkness also some time represents the character in a way.
other features can be the use of shorter and quicker cuts, that can be missed in a blink of an eye, that maintain the fast pace and yet the suspense does not seem to be going on too fast.
There is also use of dark eerie music used as the BGM, to try to create a more scary atmosphere.
