We decided to design a character before we start scripting and creating a narrative.
But what is character design?
It is as good as creating a person. Character design helps shape the character one is trying to create, how the story could be shaped around the character, and also helping references to the actor to bring out the characters true characteristics, feelings and emotions.
Since I was 5 till I was 15, I attended drama classes as I have a natural love for performing too. In my drama class they taught us something similar or rather same. Which would help in acting and creating a story line for our improvisation or the role we are going to play in any future projects.
Creating a character design will also helping in casting someone who fits perfectly for the role. Character design includes everything about the character, from their name to their deepest darkest secrets. here is a list that helps in character design-

relationship with family and friends

mannerism

psychological state
way they talk

and there are many others
But this list give us a basic idea of how our character can be shaped and how we are going to shape our main character.
