Zia has old scars on parts of her body that just don't recover and are likely to stay there forever as they were so deep and hurtful. the one scar that we show in the opening sequence is the one on her back. a person has to be repetitively hurt there for a scar to last that long, which tells us about her hurtful past.
as for the makeup of her scars, we first added a base layer to her back being the foundation that suited her skin tone and we started off marking the area of the scars by using an eyeshadow that is one shade darker than her skin tone and is one the brown tone side. we used darker shades of brown that had a cool tint and hen layered it with a warmer tint so that it would look more realistic. here is the picture of the scar:
as for the blood we used in the school scene, we tried to look for fake blood online or try to buy it from Halloween makeup shops in our city but we could not find any that would look like actual blood and that is not dried. thus we decided to create our own fake blood, as first, we decided to use liquid food colouring but that was very thin in consistency thus we decided to add some tomato ketchup to it, to make it look like actual blood.
