an editor

according to Wikipedia, Film editing is both a creative and a technical part of the post-production process of filmmaking. The term is derived from the traditional process of working with film which increasingly involves the use of digital technology. a film editor works with the raw footage, selecting shots and combining them into sequences which create a finished motion picture. this is considered an important form of art and a skill that is not easily obtained and is a hard prosses as much as being a cinematographer. and editing is also a much longer and much more time-consuming part of film making compared to the other task while making a film.

in present-day editors play a huge role and a huge effect to the film when compared to the past as we currently use digital editing. thus many filmmakers, director and cinematographer are also editors as they can edit the film and makes sure it gives the effect they want it to give and how they want it to look. editing may be a time-consuming process but it involves being in touch and in connection with the raw clips, and I personally think of it as a skill that has several levels that differs from person to person and cannot just be learnt but also needs to be practised.

although I and Svea have divided our parts and we edit differently we decide that she would go through all the raw footage, create and sequence and will add the audio( background music and foley sounds along with voice-over) and add the title and credits to the sequence. being able to edit will give me a great experience.
