according to Wikipedia, A film director is a person who directs the making of a film. A film director controls a film's artistic and dramatic aspects and visualizes the screenplay (or script) while guiding the technical crew and actors in the fulfilment of that vision. The director has a key role in choosing the cast members, production design, and the creative aspects of filmmaking.and also that under European Union law, the director is viewed as the author of the film.
a film director is a person who creates a directs the film, as simple as it sounds. but truthfully it is not a simple task, not at all. from informing the cast and the crew and works along as the leader of the entire team. a film is also known as the creation of the director, making it the most important job while making a film. a director helps bring out the best sides of the actors and the crew members as a good leader.
the stick with the film from the start till the end, as many directors are also screenwriters, editors, actors, producers and cinematographers themselves. and help create a vision out of an idea that is brought to life and presented on our screens. in one of my previous blogs, I also spoke about a few of my favourite directors.
this is my first time directing anything in fact. although I was directing along with my partner Svea, we divided our roles in a certain way where I did the majority of the directing and was the DOP in the majority of the scenes and she is to do the majority of the editing.
being the director gave me a good experience, on the know-how of what directing would be although this opening of the film was very small scale compared to other huge high budget films and other media texts out there, I definitely feel that this helped me gain experience when it comes to direction, with it being my first step.
